I used to play Axis and Allies with a roommate, we would routinely have a game on the living room table and play bits of it at a time.

There are a variety of apps for tracking stats/modifiers and all sorts of other stuff for any popular modern board games I’ve gotten into.

This is my own bad take: I feel the same about ticket to ride. I do not want to count individual train cars to get my points or validate I did the route or that I have the longest train.
Me draw card. Me place car. You give score. That’s about as much as my caveman brain can handle

I mean don’t sell yourself short, im sure you’re plenty smart lol – it’s just time, i just cant spend eight hours tabletop gaming overnight like I used to when I was a lot younger.
