There were originally five of these built in different cities colloquially called Jantar Mantar [four survive to this day]. The most famous of them arguably lies in the western city of Jaipur, India attracting both domestic and foreign tourists. This one is a small location lying sandwiched across ‘ghats’ along the riverside.
