More Ways to Pay: Tap to Pay Is Coming to Walmart and Sam’s Club
    corporate.walmart.com
Beginning Aug. 24, we will be adding Tap to Pay to our payment options at select Walmart stores and Sam’s Club locations, with plans to roll it out to all U.S. stores and clubs by the end of 2026 and to fuel stations by mid-2027.

Wait how has a huge store gone this long without allowing contactless payments? Can’t think of anywhere in the UK that allows card payment but not contactless

They have had a contactless method but it uses QR codes and stored cards to circumvent NFC.

The few times I go I always forget wondered why they never had this. I feel like it has been pretty much everywhere now for over a decade.

You mean returning. They had it before they started forcing you to use Walmart Pay.

I know because I had a cart full of groceries and no wallet when they disabled it.

I remember when Apple cultists were fuming because Walmart started selling iPhones.
