That is aggravating.
HOWEVER
Bike lanes are something that you, yes you, have a small bit of power over in your local neighborhood. It is feasible to get your city council and planning board to listen if you organize locally.

I’ve been thinking that we need more protected bike lanes, because people drive so aggressively and recklessly where I just moved to. I’ve only lived here two weeks and already have witnessed a few close calls between motorists and cyclists, which is horrifying tbh
