I understand that GrapheneOS will not require age verification, but what if I’m using a Google account on it? Will I still be able to use my Google account for the Play store on a GrapheneOS phone? (In the US) Thanks in advance

If Google requires it to have an account active then yeah you’ll need to do it. How? That depends on how they choose to make it work. As for if Google will somehow recognize that you’re on an unverified OS or something like that and refuse to allow your account to work on it is another question we’ll be hearing more about later this year.

If Google needs your ID for a service, then yes. Regardless of OS you will have to verify if you want a Google service, like Play Store.

16 hoursThe point of GrapheneOS is not to eliminate Google services. There are several options for that. What GrapheneOS is uniquely good at, is sandboxing Google services, so it doesn’t have access to all the things you don’t need it to.

Everyone has different needs. For example, my father got tired of Google pestering him to activate the AI on his Pixel. So he got me to install GrapheneOS. He gets the convenience of Google services without putting up with the AI garbage.

Not sure why you are being downvoted, you are correct in saying this is mass surveillance, branded as age verification, and marketed as protecting the children.
