The creator of Echo (an alternative to Pinterest) has decided, via my suggestion, to add Fediverse support via a federated feed.

I am… so confused. Can someone explain to me concretely what this means? Like I know what the Fediverse etc is but like… this post is written really confusingly
that you can see (and interact?) on Lemmy/mastodon/etc with what people post on echo and viceversa you can see (and interact?) on echo what is posted on Lemmy/mastodon/etc
Why would I follow a feed of what appears to be made of pictures that are mostly AI slop?
I didn’t even know that there was a Fediverse alternative to Pinterest. That’s enticing.
