• Thank you!

I think the little bit of red of the tractor worked out really well here too. I’m happy how this one turned out.

  • Lovely. When I moved to the U.S. Pacific Northwest from Florida decades ago I knew the sunsets would get later, but what I hadn’t anticipated was how much longer twilight would linger as opposed to down south.

That long twilight, lasting in Seattle well past ten, is something I really enjoy about the summers further north.

    • Thank you.
I’m a winterguy myself, but i do love these long summer evenings. I should take advantage of that more often.

That looks like about 18:30-19:30 around here. I can see well enough in my room before 4am in the mornings. Eastern Japan (at least) needs to switch time zomes imo

    • This picture was taken on 20-06, which is actually the day with the most light hours of the year (where i live, at least). If i took it in the winter at 10pm, it would’ve been dark for 4 hours.
Time zones and winter/summer clock can be pretty weird sometimes.

For some reason, I had it in my head that it was later in summer. I guess I refuse to admit we’ve already had our most daylight what feels like so soon.

I guess the other difference with your picture is that, had I taken a similar one today, my tractor would be stuck in heavy clay mud. I’m lucky to have amazing neighbors, heh.
