You need focus, leadership, communication, and action planning.

Focus: You will have to choose climate change, flock surveillence, or social equality.

Communication: Dm people that seem like they could help, or believe as you do. Grow your organization.

Leadership: Choose or elect organizers by region or city so the people in your movement stay engaged. You need a central leader with impeccable morals/values. Dr. King is a good example to follow.

Action: Non violent protests, legal cases, and constitutional amendments come within reach when you have people power behind you. Plan and deliberatere internally to form a solid plan before going public; then don’t back down.

It makes sense. Technology has made workers much more effecient since the 1970s, yet weekly hours worked have not fallen. It might be worth it to have the option to work less, in other words, to increase HDI a lot for a little less GDP.

I don’t think scantions work.

With as many participants as there are in the global economy it makes sense: the sanctioned country can easily change suppliers and not have to change policy.

Prior to the war in Iran, the US had sanctions on Iranian goods, especially oil. Iran has been selling mostly to China. Crude oil is about 56% of Iran’s exports.

The point is, Iran still sells crude oil and makes revenue.
