Never should have made it this far into gold with just Runner and Paridolia. Only picked up the Smiley Face right at the end. Next round was game over, but every round was like this, just scraping by by the skin of my teeth.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t there a pause feature in most souls-like games? Or is this because its the boss battles that take up the most time and pausing in those is a death sentence?
Sorry if this is a newby question, I don’t play souls-like games. I’ve tried, they just are not for me.

I’ve been having so much fun lately using shit like this to add a little spice to the games I’ve been playing.
Now, I’m a complete sucker for overpowered MC energy in any media I consume. So it makes sense that getting to personally act out that power fantasy appeals to me. As with most art/entertainment, not everyone will get the same enjoyment out of doing this that I do. But that’s ok! It’s why I love single player games, those that want to have the vanilla experience and work within the rules can, and those that want to cheese the system and goof around can too, and no one is worse off for it!

I should clarify that my experience is based on my interactions with people in the rural-ish Midwest.
I do try very hard to not make those assumptions when meeting someone new, as I know how it feels to be a progressive trapped in a dark red area of a (in my case) blue state.
Do what you need to do to survive. Hopefully one day this shit will get better and we can force the bigots and edge lords to keep that shit to themselves or be forced into social exile.
In my experience, there are very few people who actually “don’t follow politics”.
In most cases, once I have convinced a person that I truly won’t judge them for their politics (I do, but I keep it to myself unless I think I can actually impact their way of thinking), they are usually happy to disclose their preferences and biases, which is usually plenty to determine their political leanings.
In all but a few cases, they “don’t follow politics” because they have problematic or hypocritical politics and don’t want to explain themselves.
A close-ish friend of the family is employed in data center design for in Social Media, and later Google. He is very progressive and aware of the issues that face lgbtq people in today’s age. Yet, he is completely incapable of accepting that their high paying job is contributing to the degradation of the world at large.
Long story short, if people’s livelihood is tied to fascism, they will make whatever excuses they need to to continue benefitting from that system.

I knew this one wasn’t going anywhere, was just surprised it got as far as it did. I got very lucky with straights and very unlucky with jokers.
I’ve had one run earlier on, maybe around green or black that had Bull, cloud 9, rocket, blueprint and hologram. I don’t remember what ante it got up to, but I think it was around 3mil per hand, so if I can ever pull that setup again I’ve got a shot on plasma.
