Hi! I am looking for advice from people who have experience repairing Apple Watches.
My Apple Watch 7 had died recently because water entered while swimming in a lake and I decided to try and fix it myself. So I opened it up which allowed me to dry off the remaining moisture and clean stained parts with isopropyl alcohol. After this it turned back and started to boot loop but unfortunately also started displaying white lines.
While trying to fix it I broke the display cable but was able to solder in a new one and the screen turned back on but unfortunately was displaying white lines still. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the screen before exchanging the display cable so I am not sure if the lines are in the same position.
My question now is if anyone knows what’s the most likely cause for the lines is, is it a fault in the panel or could it be in the connection of the display cable? Is it possible that isopropyl alcohol caused damage to the panel and is there any chance for me to fix the issue that causes the lines?
That you very much in advance!
