In fact when I was in college taking classes on IPv6 we were told it would be everywhere next year.

Personally I don’t like it because it’s too overengineered for me. They should have added 2 bytes to IPv4 and called it a day. That means we would have had the address space of 65536 internets. Really plenty. IPv6 has too much space.
This is a carefully crafted press release. But canonical has been looking for a business model for a long time. I wonder if this won’t turn out like windows 11 (buy copilot buy copilot buy copilot everywhere)
But yea if they do what they say here it’s not bad.
I wish it had 5 years support like the regular Ubuntu LTS. I usually just install that and then install kde-desktop (I really hate gnome)
