It’s like someone has just discovered salt and every restaurant has it. Each thinks they are unique and gonna be the GOAT.

I’m not In that category and don’t begrudge gaming funds…but I still resist as it’s a form of enshittification.

I’ve been expecting this for a whilst. It’s what they did for business users. Most office workers pretty much have a glorified tablet.

Problem is becoming a platform where you cant just buy the game anymore. You can obtain a digital licence that they can revoke at any time. So it’s more rent the game. And the price is up. And they have interfered with the studio and development. Plus you also have to pay for gamepass to even launch the game you ‘paid’ for.

I’m surprised they haven’t come up with a mandatory paid service where AI finishes your game for you. Just pay for the device. Pay for the game. Pay for online access. Pay for the mods. Pay AI to finish the game…Pay extra for a summary of your achievement’s.

This is it, on so many aspects. And during that they ruined the fun.

You should start asking for money. Just $50 see what happens.

Yup replaced mine a few times. Cheap ones are just as good. I add a dot of double sided tape or glue gun to secure.

I hate these companies and I am watching car companies like a hawk. This is stopping me upgrading my car TBH.

I do like some conveniences, but really there are a few work arounds. Get a music player and load it up and plug it into the usb. Store your maps on your head unit. Use Bluetooth for calls.

I have a 2016 car that had an old head unit in. I ripped it out and put an android unit in myself. Works fine and it works for me via usb…there is an app but the usb just works for maps and music. If it starts annoying me, I’ll plug a mp3 player in and the bitch will be reminded it works for me. It’s annoying that the new cars have it inbuilt so you can’t.

I agree. I have spent years in tech. And I have worked trusted and advocated but in the last 5 years or so it’s changed. And I trust little of it. It’s not the tech, it’s the people it’s in the hands of. I am at the point of cynic now and I’ll stay on that side until I see otherwise. Is that wrong?

I’m not sure but I’m done believing that tech enhancements pushed at me benefit me.

No…I’m not that far but taking steps to work on what I can control.

I agree. It’s a great use. I just can’t trust any tech company now. Even if they mean well abuses happen.

I don’t think it’s anti-AI more a lack of trust of services saying here’s a product…and the concern it will be used for ulterior motives. I know I don’t like my voice being captured.

These must be pretty haltable tbh. Either by covering the lidar and I am guessing there will be a safety stop button somewhere. What happens then can the be force rebooted?

And how do they cross the road can the be fooled? Are they crossing after a sound occurs or is it a can see them being gps.

It’s gonna take bunches of us rounding them up like sheep and hearding them towards a locked field.

The thing is it it was an overall fair system most people would get along with the machines. But capitalists and ‘leaders’ have started to make us hate it.
