It’s a fantastic device!

It’s a turn based strategy game, I expect it to be slow. 🤷

Obviously I just received it today, so I’m not very far in it yet. No idea if the story or gameplay will be for me, but I’m excited to find out! I’ve seen a lot of praise for it over the years so it’s very satisfying to finally have the cart in my hands.

I will say so far, that I don’t appreciate having instructional pop-ups with every action I take for each turn - only needed those the first time. I also like (and also wonder if I’ll grow to dislike) the fact that I’m not controlling every single character on my team.

I never owned one! Wasn’t even aware of it as a kid, all I knew was Game Boy and Game Gear back then.

I still don’t have the original hardware, though these carts are making me consider tracking an original system down. I’m using an Analogue Pocket system to play these at the moment.

There really isn’t much dialog to Innsmouth, but all the JPN exclusives that can benefit from translations have been translated. (Though all the JPN roms on this multicart are unpatched original roms).

OEM retail carts do not look like this multicart!

It works surprisingly well! It doesn’t fit into the console weird like I thought it would, and grips the internal connection just the right amount not to feel worrying.

All the games work, and the games that support battery-backed saves are saved individually. I was expecting much worse from a product that looks like this from AliExpress.

It’s a great game!
