cachy or endeavour don’t really matter next to arch. as long as arch is unchanged if anything ever goes wrong with the distros based on it, a new ‘easy arch’ will come up. Hell they come up more than I would have expected even when nothing is wrong.

google wants that shit though, and hopefully non steamos distros with handheld/deck build will add steam frame support pretty quick. The only thing weird I’ve seen on handheld builds is the game mode/ big picture system update screen shows the steamos changelog and not whatever distro you actually have, unless it got a workaround or fix while I wasn’t looking.

This is what I call “mom did this”. I can set up a computer, use it myself for months, set up the same computer 2 more times and give one to my brother and each of my parents. Mom will somehow have problems that don’t exist and can’t be replicated and cant be fixed. Immutable/atomic becomes a thing then I’m thinking oh hell yeah no more weird problems. And it sure worked for everyone except mom. After logging in it loads the wallpaper then nothing else happens. Can’t switch to terminal, nothing seems wrong using a live image to diagnose. Swapping hard drives with identical hardware and neither has an issue for a while then mom’s goes bonkers again even if I give her the pc that originally had no issues. Actual how the fuck. Anyway mom uses alpine now and for whatever reason that hasn’t fallen apart in her hands.

I wouldn’t call a de bug a linux bug. Enlightenment is so niche at this point I don’t think anyone would have even found the bug if not for her.

I still have one and a vita. they are on a coffee table just sitting there. None of the original psp games were particularly memorable to me but on vita I wish I could play gravity rush for the first time again. except for the lava area, fuck that shit.
