Why does the article say the EU can’t do anything when this is a literal monopoly? Yes we can’t force Playstation to keep selling disks but forcing them to allow other storefronts on the system sounds very achievable to me.
If the place you move to is dependent on advertisers for revenue it will succumb to the same pressures. If it charges a subscription then it will be a gated community with 0.001% the users the rest of the internet has.
