It’s time to say goodbye, thank you to everybody who has helped and been supportive.

Zee’s cancer is back. We knew it would be, it just sucks. He’s not eating hardly anything even with all the meds to help him feel better. It’s about time to say goodbye.

I know that it is gauche but seeing as this is literally the only social media that I have (outside of watching YouTube on occasion which I don’t think counts) I am kind of in a bind and I hope you will all forgive me.

Many of you have probably seen the few posts I made about a month ago about my cat Zee who has cancer. He’s doing really really well, surprisingly so according to my vets, with radiation and chemo. He’s regained all the weight he lost since December and he’s enjoying he warm weather with me in the garden. The only downside to him doing very well is that his treatment is very very expensive. I haven’t had the guts to really sit down and crunch the numbers on what it’s cost me thus far but we are in the $19,000 range and we have three more months of chemo to go. The rough total when all is said and done is going to be about $23,000.

I asked on here over a month ago if anybody knew where to ask for help and I got some places to look. The unfortunate thing is that, I guess because of the rise of social media, most of the places that used to help lower income people with high vet bills have moved to a ‘we will help you share an ad campaign’ model. The internet has made all American health care a popularity contest, not just human health care. The problem with those places is they expect you to use their ad campaign and to do most of the work sharing your ad on your social medias which is, as you could see, a problem because I don’t have any. I used to spend way too much time and energy online and it just made me feel empty and soulless. so I left and when I did I deleted everything. If I were to go create new social media accounts it wouldn’t look like someone rejoining the internet to ask for help, it would look like a scammer with a brand new account trying to trick people into giving them sympathy money. 🤦‍♀️

Anywho I’ve gone on long enough. Basically I need help. I’ve asked all of my friends and family and different local groups I’m a part of if they could help or share the campaign. So far, after a solid 3 weeks of asking people in my life for help, the GoFundMe has $70. It’s not nothing but in the grand scheme of how much I need… it kind of feels like nothing. So I’m asking my Internet people, in the only community I’ve really posted anything to in the last 3 years, please help.

Hey y’all! Zee’s been going through it but he’s got some pain meds and is finally hungry this evening! 😭

Bear (brother to Zee who y’all have seen recently going through chemo) is the biggest of my three voids at 15 lbs, though he is not my biggest cat. That honor goes to Caedus who is 18 lbs of muscle with a flappy primordial pouch. Bear has a larger frame though, and he is very long and his paws are HUGE! He’s gotta have some Maine Coon in there somewhere. Was not appreciative of me trying to get feet pics. XD

Zee feeling a little better today after yesterday’s chemo. He and Mishka love getting evening snuggles! 😊

My Zee Boy feeling very tired today after first round of chemo. (CHOP series if that means anything to anyone) He was feeling better for almost all of this week after he got past the anesthesia from his rounds of radiation. He was eating, being playful, excited to go walk the garden with me. Hopefully the rebound from chemo is quick and it helps him feel better for longer. Keep sending good Juju, I think it’s helping!

Home after three whole days at the ER / oncologist vet. No surgery (fortunately? unfortunately?), he wasn’t doing well enough and they didn’t think he’d make it so radiation and chemo instead. Very snugly, very tired, much more interested in food now that he’s on the proper medication. Poor little guy is down 5 lb from last year this time and he didn’t have 5 lb to lose. Pretty much won’t stop crying at me unless I’m holding him and also giving him kisses every 5 seconds minimum.

I don’t know exactly where the right place to post this is but at the least I thought y’all might enjoy the shrimp. X) My sweet little Zee boy has been diagnosed with both feline aids and colon cancer in the last month. The path to any potential cure starts with a CT scan and biopsy which is about $5000. I’m willing to put anything I need to on my credit card in order to get him taken care of but I was wondering if any of y’all knew any resources I could look into to get help paying for his care? I didn’t see anything in the guidelines about fundraising campaign type things but that would be weird anyway. Enjoy the shrimp! if you know where I can get help paying for my boys care, let me know.

Did my ability to search for things intelligently on the internet die when Google search did or are there legitimately no personal umbrellas with solar panels and a battery pack? Like I feel like that would be an obvious thing, and there’s a bajillion beach umbrellas and patio umbrellas that have solar panels. How are there no personal versions for wandering around on a sunny day with portable shade that gets you a charged battery pack? Is this a thing and I just can’t find it or does it not exist yet and all of science has failed me in every way possible?
