5 daysI love Low Tech magazine! I have been reading them for years.
I can support many many different crimes, a ton of crimes really, I think, should be rewarded! But speeding? That’s absolutely not one of them.

8 daysYou’re not missing anything whatsoever. I got a great deal on a lightly used Pixel 10 Pro and other than the telephoto camera lens (which is admittedly nice) there is literally no functional difference I notice day to day from my previous Pixel 7 (not pro).

Just a few off the top of my head:
https://github.com/Arcticons-Team/Arcticons - a comprehensive minimalist icon pack
https://github.com/MM2-0/Kvaesitso - A good launcher
https://github.com/CodeWorksCreativeHub/mLauncher - minimalist text based launcher

AudiobookShelf is great. One of the most polished self hosted apps out there and has a lot of great features that are lesser known (like converting to m4a)

20 daysThe biggest problem with a censorship proof decentralized social media platform is that the instances without moderation inevitably attract the sorts of people that get banned from everywhere else.
Pardon my ignorance but isn’t that exactly what Inoreader and Feedly do?

Sorry I need to backtrack for a moment. I don’t understand how you’re suggesting right-wing discussion need not be on the “Threadvisere as a whole”? How would that even be possible? It’s an open platform, instances don’t get to control other instances.

When you say the discussions "need not be here" do you mean c/fediverse@lemmy.world? Or all of discuss.online?

As it grows I think it will be much easier to justify a new person or instance in cutting off entire toxic areas and that will only cause it to grow faster.
Right now we all have to weigh the balance between activity and toxicity but eventually we shouldn’t need to make that calculation, we can have “high moderation” and “low moderation” versions of every topic.
I also believe Frigate actually has a home assistant “app” version so it can be installed right on the same device.

Oh nice, for some reason I thought that was only the 5. Surprised we haven’t seen more media center OS for it besides Kodi which is pretty meh these days.
