Tossing is an important step because you create a bit of a thin potato mush coating. This coating crisps up beautifully if you do it right! Or so I’ve heard.

Supposedly some painted rocks can help deter some animals if you put them out before the actual berries. I’ve had luck with a water source keeping birds off my tomatoes. Apparently they were just thirsty. Those berries look delicious!

That soil looks very wet. Maybe that’s why the lettuce wasn’t happy?
