As Transitics reported at the time, the policy is horrific: under it, the ~2,200 trans people in federal custody will be medically and socially detransitioned against their will, all in the name of helping them “recover” from gender dysphoria.

It is unfair because these were valid articles that were removed for reasons not within the rules or outright fabrications. It silences awareness of systemic discrimination and violence against a minority group. Marginalising issues trans peoples are facing in an ever increasingly transphobic world because they do not come from large scale news corporations who would rather run articles against us.

Transparent Action, a parent-led initiative in the UK, sent the government a report detailing how kids were faring in school under different policies regarding trans students. The group urged the government to use 2026’s Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance (which sets out legal duties for schools) to protect trans children. The ministers never responded, and now the new guidance will ostracize and harm trans children.
