I couldn’t finish House of Leaves. I put a bookmark where I stopped reading and the next day I had no idea where I stopped reading. I do like the book but if they made an audiobook I could at least pause it and play it the next day.

The mods here are a real problem. Getting to be just as bad as reddit. Some volunteer jackass with the smallest iota of power will ban you from every community they control for saying something that made them shit their pants. It doesn’t even have to be their community. Mods here are so thin-skinned and ban happy you will be banned from their little shit mountains for voicing an opinion somewhere they have no influence.

I have had to manually add a lot of ai communities to my block list because some limp-wrist banned me from all of them before I could block all of them. Thats another problem. Being banned from a community shouldn’t make the “Block Community” button go away. It should make the button more prominent and easier to push.

Maggots. I’ve been chasing the high ever since. They were hiding in a pineapple flavored Swiss roll. I thought the maggots were coconut flakes at first. Pina colada is a good flavor. The maggots popping like boba didn’t set any alarm bells off. It was better than the usual coconut crunch. The maggots wriggling against my gums and tongue didn’t set any alarm bells off. It was the only time I ever chewed something that felt carbonated. The lone maggot crawling across my couch away from certain doom finally clued me in. Half of his platoon just got eaten and the other half was without a doubt up next.

The same thing happened to my mom at some point when she was a kid. For her it was an Almond Joy or Mounds, which let the maggots blend in even better. Is it a once in a lifetime thing everybody experiences or a generational curse? I feel cursed with the knowledge that maggots in the right context taste like the fuckin’ future.

That model of PS2 scratched the shit out of disks when the laser lens got a little dusty.

2. You couldn’t delete or remove it
3. The band’s stupid name stood out in any library due to it being short
4. At the time you couldn’t get rid of the album. It sat there eating up memory space and the best you could do was disable the album from playing in shuffle.
5. Thank you OP for reminding me about this. It took over a decade but I finally got that album out of a now empty music library on a device that sat unused in a drawer. At some point between then and now deleting the album from your library became easy. Back in the drawer it goes.
