Cake day: December 22nd, 2023

Hello, I am trying to trip one last time before I start this new job. I booked an AirBNB for a cabin, here is my past experiences:

Shrooms - 4.5g, somewhat intense but very enjoyable, really spiritual and emotionally healing. Easy to control and do stuff at this dose.

LSD - 300ug (yes, really 300ug, accurately dosed tabs), really intense, haven’t done that dose in 10 years, but willing to give it a go. Really enjoyed the visuals at this dose.

LSD and Shrooms combined - 2g x 75ug, had my first spiritual awakening with this, wasn’t crazy visuals but the mind effect was like no other experience I ever had. First time ever asking questions like, “Who am I” and “Where am I”. Really beautiful.

Wanted to see about ging 200ug-250ug and 4.5g to 5g of mushrooms combined, heard that dose makes for a really strong trip.

I also have my DMT cart, which I’m really trying to use, I never had a full DMT trip with visuals, more just a mind / body feeling. Since I have my own cabin, it really frees the experience and makes me less anxious about people hearing me or walking in on me.

I have been very fortunate to receive a union construction job through a relative, and I am very excited about the position. I have no debt of any kind and currently live at home with my parents. The job is 7 days a week, with double shifts during the summer, which gives me a lot of overtime pay. I’m in shape, down 120 lbs, and muscular. I’m also stress-free because my diet is already planned out on a spreadsheet, and I have no college debt (didn’t go) and no credit card debt.

According to my calculations, the job should provide take-home pay of $3,778/week, or $16,400/month during the summer. During the winter, it goes down to $1,430/week, or $6,200/month. The year-round average take-home pay is $8,800/month, which works out to about $2,020/week.

I currently have no money saved except for investments in XMR, and I want to invest around $10k–$12k into it. I also plan to contribute as much as possible to a 401(k). I do not plan on buying anything unnecessary, such as a new car, RV, computer, guitars, or anything else I do not really need.

My expenses are:

  • $370/month for car insurance
  • $50/month for my phone bill
  • $150/week for groceries
  • $15/month for Planet Fitness

Total: $1,085/month

I do not pay rent. My parents would not ask me to pay rent and are okay with me staying until I am able to move out and buy a house.

My plan is to build an emergency fund first, then set up automatic transfers into separate accounts for index funds, a house fund, a personal fund, a buffer fund, and a crypto fund so I can invest passively. I do not really want a credit card, but I need to start using one because my credit score dropped to 550 after not making a payment for a while.

Any advice is appreciated. Currently looking into HYSA and IRA, and will adjust this post later to show the amounts I want to transfer over to each account.

  • I’m 22, and believe it or not, I actually lost 120lbs over the course of 8 years. I have a whole spreadsheet dedicated to my meals which shows me everything (Calories, fats, mono/poly, sodium, fiber, etc.) I try my very best to make sure I’m healthy, tracking everything down to the gram.

Right now, I’m averaging about 2000mg sodium a day, and the seafood also provides a sufficient amount of Iodine too.

Thank you for showing concern at least haha, you’re right that people need to build these habits early on.

  • Yes.

I usually wait until the 4th date to consider getting intimate with someone. Go to a resturaunt for your 4th date. I would personally hold off intimacy till then, but hey, if it happens then it happens, just focus on having a good time together until the moment feels right.

I have unintentionally become pescatarian recently because I’ve come to realize that fish have a lot of nutritional value. So far, my meal plan looks like this:

Breakfast

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 slice of Ezekial bread toasted
  • Mixed berry smoothie with banana, peanut powder, collagen peptides, chia, creatine, non-fat greek yogurt, and water

Lunch

  • 2 tin cans of sardines, mashed
  • Non-fat greek yogurt
  • Tzaziki sauce
  • Lemon
  • Black pepper
  • 2 slices of Ezekial bread toast or one ezekial tortilla, depending on my mood

Dinner

  • Shrimp kebabs made with olive oil and veggies
  • 1 corn roll or asparagus

Some days I’ll switch out my dinner for a salmon salad / salmon wrap, or I’ll change the shrimp kebabs for a shrimp ceasar wrap with a nice avocado oil based dressing. Being pescatarian is really great because it’s easier to make, shelf life lasts very long, and it’s generally cheaper than buying meats.

Title sounds crazy, but so far, I am running a 100% free software setup and I’m in love with the anonymity that comes from it. I run QubesOS/Libreboot on all my systems, and already have a 100% free BIOS (T440p / 9020 OptiPlex), LibreCMC router with 100% free software/firmware. I even go as far as disabiling Javascript entirely and using Tor daily when I browse because I enjoy freedom that much.

The answer is, you can still have full freedom while living in the modern world. You can use FreeTube to watch YouTube over Tor via Invidious instances. If you want to use AI, I am using an privacy-focused LLM providers API key (paid with XMR/proxied over Tor) to access any models I want using OpenWebUI. All meanwhile, I am not using Javascript in my browser and can live entirely free. The benefit of QubesOS here is that I can make seperate VMs to isolate these applications if I really wanted to.

I have previously went out of my way and bought a $3000 gaming PC, even when I had a setup like this. You know what I did? I returned it not even a month later because I knew it wasn’t worth giving up my freedom for. Even when trying to keep it offline, I knew I couldn’t resist giving it an internet connection eventually, which defeats the whole purpose of my setup.

All I really wanted to say is that freedom is priceless, and we need to maintain it as much as we can. Screw any other company / proprietary piece of software that wants to have a hand in your PC. Take control.

I’m doing 5g of mushrooms tomorrow in silent darkness for the first time. I have no idea what to expect as I’ve never done it this way, my last dose was 4.5g and I handled it really well and had a beautiful experience out in nature. Also, planning on vaping some DMT powder in the coming weeks and going on my first major trip for the first time.

Currently down about 120lbs after 8 years of going up and down. Net loss is 200lbs, given I had some regains over the years. Now, I’m down from 300lbs to 178lbs and ever since I passed 185lbs, I’ve had a lot more oppurtunities with women.

It feels weird, not gonna lie, it just sorta happened out of nowhere. A lot more women smile at me, talk to me, and look at me more. The attention I started getting just feels like a glimpse really. Not massive amounts, but noticably more. I’m still 10lbs away from being done entirely, as I do still look a bit husky at 178lbs.

Though, it’s not just women, but people in general have been treating me better, even strangers. I will finally reach normal weight for the first time ever in the next couple weeks (173lbs according to my BMI) and I can’t be more excited to finally see it!

For those who lost weight, what was it like for you? Did people start treating you differently?

I’m wondering if there is any true benefits to being a nomad anymore. Given the fact that Flock exists and you’re now tracked basically all the time, it’s getting harder and harder. You could use deflock map to navigate around which could work. I would also like to know if this lifestyle is cheaper. I could buy a plot of land to live on in my RV and have a setup, winters might be brutal but I could possibly do it if done right. I make 100k/year right now in NY with no bills, so I’m saving up as much as I can.

This has always been a thought of mine. I wanted to replace/remove any non-free kernels with a libre kernel that doesn’t provide non-free binaries. I know some people say it does not matter, but I think it would be a cool idea.

I was thinking about hardening QubesOS by possibly using a deblobbed version of the Kicksecure kernel on all VMs. It would also come with Javascript disabled entirely on all VMs, all non-free binaries removed, everything ran over Tor by default, maybe creating a custom repo with only free software, etc.

This would be inclined towards people who use Libreboot/Canoeboot, specifically those that use systems like OptiPlex 9020 and T440p, that run only 100% free software in the BIOS.

I’ve never attempted it, but I would like to know if anyone would be interested.
