Why are US-Americans so stubborn when it comes to metric units? Use ur crappy units in ur country if u like, but on the Internet, most people are NOT from the US and therefore ur numbers mean shit all to us.

We have exactly this in germany. If you collect enough points, ur drivers license gets revoked.
No, people would be charging their cars when they come back from work. And that is also the time where energy demand already is at it’s highest. If everyone were to drive a BEV it’d be a lie to say that this wouldn’t have an impact on the grid.
