We’ve had this kind of shit for decades. It’s a manager’s “make it more interesting”, no matter if the executing side is a robot or an underpaid graphics design intern.
You asked about lemmy.world specifically. They are on lemmy but not on lemmy.world. People from different instances talking to each other is the whole point of lemmy (and the fediverse as a whole).

Explain Like I'm Five@lemmy.world•I am trying to get rid of this folder, but the result is saying that fish expects a variable name after this $. What does it mean ? And how do i get rid of this folder ?English
7 daysYeah, I know. I usually try to give new accounts the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they don’t know where and how to ask things in a way that actually helps them…
But making a second account, and posting the same question in the same incorrect community again… that’s just too much for me.
Edit: I just noticed that this account is actually older than the other one which makes it even weirder.

7 daysThe exact same question was posted and answered yesterday (by a different account). Besides, ELI5 is not a support forum. Please don’t spam.

I actually hope the fediverse doesn’t grow too rapidly. Otherwise we will also be forced to implement age verification.
And honestly, with modern build plates, there is absolutely no reason to use glue. At least for PLA.

Gaming@beehaw.org•Slay The Spire 2 Is Fantastic, So Why Is It Being Review-Bombed?
2 monthsNot really. As the devs themselves have stated, one of the reasons was that Chinese players don’t have access to most of the established feedback channels like the official discord server and social media accounts so their only option to reliably get the devs‘ attention is through Steam reviews. If I remember correctly, they are (have been?) working on improving communication, for example through an ingame feedback form.

It isn’t very funny. (Sorry if my German is showing)
