  • No because the problem only exists because of differences in the frequencies the fans actually run at. If they all run it exactly the same frequency it would just be a loud hum which would be annoying but fine.

So if they got control of their fan frequencies to the level necessary to do what your suggesting they could just have them all run at the same frequency anyway and alleviate the problem that way. But they won’t because that kind of fan control isn’t really possible.

The real solution would be some kind of soundproofing and maybe not building massive data centres in populated areas.

  • Because as with most car designs back in the day safety was a secondary consideration (if at all) to style. Firstly because these types of seats provide absolutely no stability so everyone goes sliding all over the place the moment anyone goes around the corner at speed, and secondly because there are no actual independent seats it encourages everyone to bunch up, even if there’s only actually enough seat belts for two people.

These problems are mitigated if you slow down although they’re still there.

  • What I wanted out of this was a product that’s a complete unit that I can just point people to and say get that. I’m not sure if I’m alone in this, but personally I find specking out PCs to be really boring, I spent forever trying to make sure all the components work together. And then inevitably someone else in my family will end up with a different spec.

This way everyone has the same system, I know it works, and if not there’s a big corporation to do tech support, rather than little old me doing it. It’s just a shame it’s kind of expensive.
