In what world does someone who reviews games for a living consider 40 hours in a new game over the course of two months “whopping”? Shouldn’t they be gaming regularly to have a basis for comparison?

Genesis had a few more mature-themed ads at the time. They seemed to be trying to position themselves in a different niche from Nintendo’s more family oriented image.

Are they a monopoly? They’re definitely huge, but a lot of the games on Steam are non-exclusive, and they don’t actually control the rights to the games. Like, they don’t own the IP, they don’t restrict content to their platform, and they have some pretty functional if smaller competitors like GOG and Epic. They also make their platform compatible with game keys that weren’t actually sold on their platform.
They’re definitely something with substantial market dominance as a platform, not I’m not sure monopoly is really the word.
A24 is a fantastic studio that’s done an excellent job of bringing some really creative projects to fruition. Hopefully whatever this tool is, it isn’t something that will replace human creativity.
