I did really like “the moon is a harsh mistress” even if I think libitarism is purile.

I still think stranger is just a Jesus story (it’s been ages), where hhgtg didn’t have a point except maybe you are at the mercy of the universe, and God is sorry for the inconvenience.

I’m not sure how you got that message, Arthur specifically isn’t even aware of his friend being an alien when his house is demolished. He kind of just faces what’s next in terror, at least until the fenchurch bits. Even when he’s stuck on earth I wouldn’t say he’s having a good time.

I think it’s my favorite handling of vampires by a long shot, even though I think he’s only using them to contrast beings they run into

I don’t actually care, but when I have in the past (around 2006 era) it “just worked”, while other distros i was using required more hand holding (gentoo, redhat, slackware). I suspect most distros are just fine now a days (using debian now and it seems just fine).

Recommend the the podcast “if books could kill”, if you like these kinds of books. They aren’t too hard in atomic habits, but they’ve really got me to think a little harder about the things I read
