You do need the dopamine checkpoints to stay motivated, but you really learn by banging your head against a wall for a week or a month, then you get the dopamine hit after when a skill that used to be difficult is suddenly second nature.

If that same income was spread out amongst people in low paying jobs, they would be spending that money on rent, food utilities, and going out. There are a lot more of them so they will each have less to save which means the money is circulating more and stimulating a larger part of the economy.
