    Nah, make it worse! The BIOS randomly selects between zero and three ports and ignores them for a random amount of time. It always rerolls when you reboot or when the timer runs out. They are all real and do work, but you never know which ones (if any) or how long.

LPT: Did you put something in the microwave with the intent of getting it out later? Set a timer so it screams at you after a while.

Not sure if it’s a life pro tip, an ADHD pro tip, or a cat owners’ pro tip, but I’ve forgotten food in the microwave so many times after putting it there to keep my cat out of it, it kinda hurts. I always allow my food to cool some before putting it away, but these days, I use a microwave timer to remind me. It won’t shut up unless I go push a button. And while I’m in there, I might as well clean the rest of the kitchen. Since I’m up.

By the way, I woke up to cat barf on my countertop. How’s your morning going?

      Heat cycling is a huge stressor on any material. That’s part of why diesel freight trucks tend to last well past a million miles while it’s newsworthy if a passenger car makes it that long. How many times a week is your Toyota Corolla driving 10+ hours at a time? Most commonly, when you hear of a million mile vehicle, it was making long haul deliveries daily and was maintained at the correct intervals.
