Gaming@beehaw.org•Steam is basically a PC gaming monopoly, so why isn’t anyone mad?
2 monthsMicrosoft has a bigger monopoly with Excel, but we never hear entitled scumbags and useful idiots complain about that.
It’s all about lowering standards so the business school cartel can take more money from the rest of us.

2 monthsThat’s the thing, though. The people who went to business school want to make sure all businesses operate like gas stations across the street from each other.
Valve being relatively autonomous in their decision making throws a wrench in that scheme.

2 monthsThere is nothing underhanded about preventing vendors from selling their products for lower prices on other storefronts and you’re a moron for thinking otherwise.

2 monthsAll of those are run by business-school people.
The people who went to business school are mad that Valve isn’t running their platform like the rest of the cartel.

2 monthsThe greedy/entitled morons are mad and try every day to convince us to lower our standards so they can make more money.
Anyone who bitches about Steam being a “monopoly” instead of it being DRM should not be taken seriously.
Buying video games is for suckers.

I’d say the first one is my favorite. There’s definitely something special about it being 1 big dungeon and spending most of our time indoors. When I started to reach the top and got to see sunlight after so long was a great feeling.
Santa Monica Studio definitely has an eye for quality. God of War is one of the few franchises that I like pretty much every entry in.
