  • Prefaced with I don’t think medical science bears out that a healthy sexuality is an addiction & masturbation can be healthy and good for your body, but there are some people who do masturbate compulsively to the point that it is detrimental to their life due to frequency that it effects relationships, job, health, etc. If you’re dealing with compulsive behavior it seems the conventional advice is to identify and avoid or moderate triggers that lead to the compulsive behavior. If before unnecessary eating for example you may be bored, stressed, tired, etc. finding healthy outlets to prevent finding yourself in those states or alternative hobbies and outlets can remove the triggers for that behavior. Self monitoring can be difficult so keeping a journal can help identify triggers. In extreme cases there are chemical means to reduce or remove arousal. And of course different approaches work differently for differently people, some gradual reduce while others need a cold turkey approach.

If it’s not compulsive I would consider why ancient religious texts are so concerned with something that most people can engage with in a healthy way, and that there may be ulterior reasons to cause unnecessary guilt or shame.

  • John Wick is probably the most popular for sure, continues from the John Woo 90s Hong Kong style origins

Ip Man 1-4 are really good with Donnie Yen in the lead role, #2 is probably my favorite but they are all really good imo

The Night Comes For Us was a big recent release from the last few years & around the same time Triple Threat that would probably be a good double feature, feels like The Raid or Ong Bak earlier Tony Jaa movies in the Indonesian/Thai style that they’ve been developing over the past couple decades

  • Pretty much any time a news article cites public opinion it’s better to go to the primary sources or become very skeptical if they don’t provide a link to the survey data. It’s just a different purpose to convey the info without the sensationalism and manufactured perspective.

I started reading an article yesterday on a prominent international news source via rss about American opinions on the war and negotiations with Iran talking about majority public opinion as fact. I scanned through the rest of the article and there was no actual data, and only at the end did it state it was an op-ed written by a lobbyist and strategic advocacy employee. The web page had opinion written on the top but the feed just had it at the bottom.

  • My favs are Ecco that can be a bit frustrating sometimes but is fun overall, earthworm Jim a goofy side scroller, eternal champions and mortal Kombat for fighting games, NBA jam arcade baller, 90s nhl loop around the back of the net, mutant league football and hockey, streets of rage brawler with amazing soundtrack, and you already mentioned the sonics. Phantasy star 4 for an rpg maybe not the whole game I think it got pretty grindy but at least the first couple missions.
