The only defense I’ll make towards the $600 launch price is the console shipped with a bluray player and at the time the cheapest bluray player was $1,200. I remember joking “why buy a bluray player when for the same money you could buy two PS3’s?”
I was playing split screen online and we noticed someone was a lone waluigi so we both swapped to waluigi. By three races later the whole map was nothing but waluigi from everyone swapping over. If one or two people joined with their default character by the next race they were waluigi. Went on for a good 45 minutes before we had to drop.
