• … she decided to toss an Elder Scrolls 6-sized news bomb into the world…

Did she though? All she said is that ES6: Something-or-Other is coming and that it is amazing. But since she benefits greatly from it being amazing I don’t think the assessment is worth anything.

No, more accurately, whe said she saw “live playthrough.” That implies the game has implemented enough along to be playable and coherent enough to impart a story. But shares no actual information about the game, which is nebulous enough to invite lots of discussion. Especially for game outlets, who bite on every new thing. News thrives on the latest news and nostalgia, so, if this successfully sucks the air out of the room from discussions of Xbox’s malfeasance, then it’s likely to get lost in that middle shuffle.

At least, until some lower-mid tier Youtuber digs it back up in 6 months to 3 years from now.

“The work the artists we fired made looks great!”

Yeah. The giant rat is part of unionization protests taking place.

Giant rats are a long held tradition in the Elder Scrolls series. They should go there and eat the execs.

If we assume for a moment that she hunter2’d the title, I’m counting eight asterisks, so that’s Cyrodiil or HighRock.

I’m not saying she did, could just be a random number of asterisks, but if so I’m severely disappointed. Do Elsweyr, Black Marsh, or Valenwood. Let’s get weird in Elder Scrolls again.

Yeah. It would suck for him to have to start from the ground up on a new setting, but someone should give that man a vial of acid, a quarter pound of shrooms, and a programming team and see what comes back.

I have my doubts, but if that is true, then just imagine what squeegeeing his third eye could do.

4 goblins and a wolf beat my ass when I was testing my modlist yesterday. Not really relevant, but I enjoyed the thought of killing 7 goblins.

TES4 was “Oblivion” and took place in Cyrodiil. Assuming the subtitle is a place name isn’t useful. The tweet gives us literally nothing to work with it.

    • I would love if it was weird, but corporate won’t let them. You know everything goes through 37 layers of approval now. Including legal, marketing, human resources, and feelings police. If one person is even remotely offended it gets rejected.

And that’s how we got Starfield and other games like Dragon Age Veilguard.

Can’t even have 2 people have an argument anymore. Might be taken too negatively.
