With warnings and advice on how to make better wishes, yes. But it was only because he liked the person making the wishes.
(And yeah, hostile genies are too terrifying for a children’s movie.)

I just went to the Legal Department of my Wizard’s College, and paid them 5000 gold to craft perfectly worded wishes. I don’t recommend it, they’re all on fire and smell of sulfur, but they are great lawyers
I’m sure the Unseen University would have a reality altering war amongst the faculty just to figure out what wishes to ask the genie for.
Well I was already capable of casting wish, so there wasn’t a Genie involved
