• That was the plan the whole time. The reporting on this loss is just for clicks.

    • No it wasn’t. The original plan was to get the citizens initiative to a point where the EU commission has to do something. DFA was more of a backup plan in case the initiative itself fails. Had the commission done its job the initiative probably wouldn’t have shifted its focus to the DFA. And it’s very much a series of lucky coincidences that the initiative could continue with DFA.

      • No SKG expected that outcome for like a year now when it leaked. Would it been nice yeah but they were not planning on it.

        • And the reason we knew in advance that this was the expected outcome is because this was the original plan. The DFA is the pivot from the original plan because of the concerns of the gaming industry lobbying against the citizens initiative.

    • No it was not, as laid out by SKG’s own goals from their website (which is now restricted - including past legislative attempts) and by Article 225 whereby they are asking an EU commission to submit a legislative proposal to the EU Parliament for enacting new laws.

This is literally the backup plan they are on now. Stop framing a loss as some sort of planned win. That’s not what it is. And regarding Past Results (https://www.stopkillinggames.com/en/past-results), this isn’t the first time they’ve been here. The EU has ruled multiple times that it is on the member nations to enact/amend these laws, this has all happened before with the same result.
