    I’m surprised to see Hootie so high on the list. I mean, I own it, I bet everyone of a certain age owns it, it’s a cool album. But it sold more copies than Appetite for Destruction? How?

    Seems weird that Nirvana isn’t on the list. They were selling 300k a week shortly after the release of Nevermind.

      I looked it up and while Nevermind sold 30m worldwide, it only sold ~12m in the US. This graphic seems to be US only sales.

    Here’s me totally forgetting that “The Black Album” was just a nickname and it really is just titled “Metallica”. Also weird for the 5th album to be self-titled.
