  • Red, White, and Pink Slip Blues pretty much already addresses that.

    I hide the pickup truck
    In Ricky Brown’s garage
    (Over on the next block)
'Cause there’s a repo man to dodge

I slip out the back door
Lord, I never thought I’d live to see this day
    We’re gonna need that truck
When they come to take the house away

  • Not only well known, but all the albums explicitly credit those guys too lol.

The big controversy was always Bark at the Moon, where Sharon got involved and only Ozzy is credited as a writer. Every other album has credit where credit is due.

Blizzard of Ozz: All songs written by Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads and Bob Daisley, except where noted Diary of a Madman: All songs by Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake, except where noted

Lemmy is explicitly credited on 4 songs on No More Tears.

It’s been known for about 50 years that Geezer was the main lyricist for Black Sabbath. Ozzy just did arrangement and contributed some lyrical changes here and there.

There’s not even any controversy here.

  • Don’t need to assume anything. He just read the liner credits on the albums lol.

Blizzard of Ozz literally says “All songs written by Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads and Bob Daisley, except where noted.”. Same with Diary of a Madman. “All songs by Ozzy Osbourne, Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake, except where noted.”

Bark at the Moon is where the controversy starts, where Ozzy is the sole writing credit, but Daisley and Jake Lee claim they wrote a good chunk of it and Sharon screwed them out of credits.

The Ultimate Sin lists Jake Lee with credits again. No Rest for the Wicked has everyone with writing credits. Same with Just Say Ozzy.

No More Tears explicitly credits everyone. “All tracks are written by Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde and Randy Castillo, except where noted.” And Lemmy is credited on I Don’t Want to Change the World, Mama I’m Coming Home, Desire, and Hellraiser.

Bark at the Moon is the only controversy. Every other album has credit given to other writers. And all of Black Sabbath’s are credited to all four of them. It has been long known though that Geezer was the primary lyricist, and Ozzy only contributed some original lyrics, but did a lot more with the actual arrangement of the songs.

  • Yeah that’s a big failing on the teachers, not explaining why you can’t cite Wikipedia. It’s not hard to explain “you can’t cite wikipedia directly because it isn’t a source. It’s just a collection of references, and you need to go cite the primary source, and here is where wikipedia lists their sources for each claim and how you can cite them”.

  • No encyclopedia is citable. They’re not primary or secondary sources.

You can’t use tertiary sources in academic research because they’re just aggregation of references. You need primary sources whenever possible, and secondary sources when primary sources are unavailable.

Which is where going down to the references and grabbing the primary sources there comes in handy, because you can cite those.

  • They’re not completely wrong. It’s just not Flock.

Police have had Stingrays for well over a decade now, which are basically man-in-the-middle attacks. They mimic a real cell tower, so your phone connects to it like a normal cell tower. Then the police have full access to all transmissions your phone makes to that tower. That doesn’t give them access to things like your contacts that are stored encrypted locally, but it does give them access to your text messages in transit (if not E2EE encrypted), your voice data during transmission (so any phone calls you make they can listen in and record), and any other metadata in transmission.

  • Yeah. They haven’t raised prices for several years.

The iPhone 12 was $799 in 2020. The iPhone 17 was $799 in 2025. Inflation alone should have made the 17 $999 but they kept the price the same for 5 years.

Same for the pro lines. 12 pro was $999 in 2020. The 17 pro started at $1099 but they dropped the lowest 128GB storage tier. Same price as the 256GB model for the 12 pro. Inflation would put that at $1399 for the 17 pro.

Between inflation and AI making memory cost your firstborn, they’re going to have to raise the prices.

  • No, population control is the definition of eugenics lol.

Controlling the population absolutely requires an authority allowing certain people to have children. There’s no way around controlling who is allowed to have children if you’re controlling the population numbers.

That would de facto have to be done with forced abortions or forced sterilization. There’s no other way to enforce people not having kids.
