Therapy can’t fix this, bit it can help OP with it. A good therapist will help you find more effective strategies to help you cope with a situation you can’t personally change.

Oh honey - I’m so sorry. That explains why she looks so young in all the pictures - it’s because she was.

We lost both of ours and both dogs over the course of about a year and a half. They were every one of them old, and it was still absolutely crushing every time. To lose one so young, and to such a trauma indoors where we assume they’re going to be safe - the heartbreak and shock together must be absolutely heartbreaking.
