yeah im not complaining its just so crazy how far the overton window has went. And its true that many democrats today could have run as a rupublican in the 70’s and 80’s.

even these im not sure I would not call left of center. they are not looking to get rid of capitlism they just want to have taxes and regulation and social safety nets.

problem is the use has a large ultra right and centerist groups but the actual left is small but growing in recent days.

oh man optical mice and lcds was the best thing ever for IT. I got everyone in my family optical mice one xmass when they got pretty cheap and when people just did not realize how much a quality of life improvement they were. I think I included a mouse pad that was a good surface in case they had a desk with little contrast. Then at work I was pushing conversion to lcd and sunsetting crts so hard.

I mean. very small amount of nostalgia for some games and such but things changed a lot with the 486dx2 and next step machines. My heydey nostaligia times was when macs went to osx and the macbook pro was lauded for having a bigger screen, more ports, and being more powerful than pc competitors. Hardware wise when the iphone started influencing laptops it was kinda the decline to me. Since then though linux has become amazing so that is cool. Open source is the only technology I have liked since the teens.

Oh sure that is the issue with all diets. Kinda depends how you look at it. Morally I would see milk and egg as not being an issue. That is why I said like the fruitarians because you would be hard pressed to find a mondern one who accepted those animal products. Jains have a whole sorta categorization of how bad it is to eat particular things.

Yeah. Basically. Its claim to fame is getting off corpo control and algorithms. It also has more options for the user and portability. It does not change humanity nor is it some guarantee to get a better batch of humanity. I like the crowd but I do have no problems using block.

see i was kinda the opposite. I just went with the default. Thing is I was never very good at language to begin with. and foregn language im even worse. I wish I had a heck of a time with sentence structure and wish I went with something that was more subject verb object.

so. I signed up for reddit because of some mmos I was on. It kinda seemed like a nice slashdot alternative and was a bit more reminiscent of the old internet usenet in some ways. I stopped playing the mmos and it was just sorta a time waster at that point. I had been hearing about decentralized social media like mastadon but I never liked twitter even before it became xitter. when the api fiasco happened there was a lot of mention of decentralized alternatives and since these are setup in a way I more like I went to it. Started on kbin because earnest was way prolific and doing things then when he had life issues and kbin folded went to mbin but with piefed I saw that same gusto so switched to it. I feel I have more control here than I ever did on reddit.

I kinda wish I had taken french or german instead of spanish in school.
