3 daysI think it saves and loads the ram cache on the disk too, or maybe I’m thinking of a different feature…
I believe windows 11 is kinda meant to do this automatically now, which is partly why it uses so much ram when you haven’t even launched anything yet…
It seems quite bad at it however.
This tool is meant to help diagnose issues with it, but I’ve not been able to try it, as the windows 11 machine I use is pwnd by my IT department and their antivirus blocks it from running 😅:

Is not that: it’s that there’s so much new music that it just makes sense to use an algorithm to speed up the process of finding music you like…
Without it most people just listen to the same thing they already know, or rely on a dj on the radio to pick music for them…

I was just thinking that would be the simplest way to do it, but I think you might be right that that way would be more feasible…
yeah you’d have to disguise it as part of another chip, and use lower latency parts and then sell it as higher latency…
The point of last.fm for me is the recommendations more than the stats themselves, are you able to run a similar recommendation engine based on some musician database or similar?
It’s important for people who buy/sell games second hand…
Also it can be nice to find an old game you bought 20 years ago in a closet with your old console and have some chance to be able to just boot it up and play it without needing the servers to still be up and running…
but if there’s less to watch, and more things you don’t want to watch, that time will increase, unless you give up and go read a book or something instead 😅
could have a chip that looks for a certain sequence of bytes then changes some other bytes as a result… it would probably introduce massive latency though…
Will it result in less screen time though, or will it just mean more time spent scrolling past AI slop as well as all the existing garbage movies when looking for something to watch…
I mean sell it with 0 sticks, but I also just realized it uses SODIMM DDR5, and I don’t think many people have that just lying around 😅
