Most sold isn’t most popular though, don’t the currently-played charts always include old, free, low-requirements games like Counter Strike?

How do you define the majority of popular games though? You could probably cherry pick a definition that proved anything!

Surely it entirely depends on the game? I can get 4k/60fps on the steam deck for some games, others can barely get 30fps on minimum settings.

Maybe hardware limitations will force developers to actually start optimising their code a bit. Ever increasing power leads to laziness because everyone’s got more than enough CPU/RAM/storage. That feels less of an issue in gaming though, where the majority of my pc library will run on a decade-old laptop but a web page demands enough power to run crysis.

Science isn’t about “why?” it’s about “why not?”
Nice, I found the doc, thanks!
Could always just plug in an external drive via USB too, though I have no idea how slow that would be nowadays
Is it actually available in a form you can throw on any old PC yet?
Some good answers in this post from last year, though my vote goes to the classic Bosca Ceoil!

I did a post on it a while back, it runs on everything!

The fact that we even call them PCs is mainly down to the IBM PC (they didn’t invent the term but I think they popularised it)

This is even considered intended behaviour, so it’s a vital part of an any% glitchless speedrun.
And if you have fond memories of gen 1 then watch some speedruns with commentary, the level of shenanigans you can pull in these games are very impressive.
Prime gaming has been giving away codes for actual stores for the last few years at least

The PC version is on Epic so it’s not the craziest of ideas
Zero. My cheap old LCD TV has a SCART and an RF in, that’s all I need!
