Now teach it to stop like Usain Bolt instead of just running straight into a padded wall
Biped travel is very versatile. Until now no machine could do it as fast as humans. Interesting is in the eye of the beholder of course, but it’s quite an accomplishment. It will likely lead to machines that can access humans in places wheeled vehicles can’t go, outrun them and efficiently kill them.

It’s a pretty significant step technology wise though, it’s not that long ago they were falling over on stage.

A robot built in a lab by a huge team of engineers and scientists specifically built to beat any human has beaten the fastest human by 0.20 seconds.
The engineering to accomplish this is interesting, the fact that it beat a human is not.
Well this doesn’t have wheels. It’s a pretty big step forward in robot development

It is pretty amazing to see the tech get to this stage and not stuck at Honda robot version one hundred and thirty two.
