Right now, I can’t get the first without the second.
Not legally, no.
Spotify has a lot of content that’s great for falling a sleep, tons of curated playlists and you can queue audio (i’m assuming your not actually watching videos anyway). O and also, if you let Spotify auto-play it never effects your suggested content on YouTube.
Great news then, if you get the AI Pro plan they include it free of charge!
You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK: There Are About ~2 Billion Muslims On Earthbyhuppakee@lemmy.worldEnglish
1 dayAm i wrong to assume this post is more like a YSK if you’re from the US? I think many Europeans, Africans and Asians are much more aware of the size of the Muslim population, maybe because we live much closer to them / have a bigger % of them living among us. Not sure why i feel this is important to point out, but i did want to write this.

While this data is presented by a company selling apartments across the globe and the text is written to explain how much travel destinations change over the coming decades, the data in it gives a clear overview of changes in 85 different cities. Anyone living in any of those 85 cities can use it to see how fucked you might be in the near and not so near future: https://www.nestpick.com/2050-climate-change-city-index/
Little spoiler: you’ll be at least a little fucked no matter where you live.
I should have added; the pc community is making it increasingly interesting to spend the money on a better pc. Since over decade (maybe 2 yikes) i have had a laptop and a console. But at the same time, i dont have a phone + camera + mp3 player anymore. Not being able to borrow a game or buy/sell games second hand might really be the final straw. Besides, if you look at how easy they removed those movies they sold, they don’t really give me much trust in their digital only platform.
If you’re going to get expensive hardware and be digital only, might as well go PC while you can.
I enjoy gaming on my tv with a controller, i am not a heavy gamer nor an early adopter but if ps6 does not get a disk version i’m quite likely to not get a ps6 at all. They’ve been pushing me away from console gaming further and further with each new generation.

5 daysTo be fair, it might be because of drug use and the treatment for that is far from as accessible as it should be. Tragic either way though.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Searching on YouTube has become such a chorebyhuppakee@lemmy.worldEnglish
7 daysThere is no competitor, not on the same scale. There are however initiatives that matter. Platforms created by YouTube creators unhappy with YouTube policy like https://nebula.tv/ and https://www.2ndtry.tv/ ; open-source non-profit developers created PeerTube for example https://peertube.tv/ ; there are competitors in live streaming like Twitch, competitors in professional video hosting like Vimeo. Obviously that is not a one-stop shop like YouTube and a lot of those competors operate under the same laws; but the more traffic those platforms get, the more likely a creator is to (also) post there.
You can also learn without parents, when you all of a sudden have your hands/shopping cart/shopping bag/car full of raw egg.

12 daysI might get a lot of downvotes for saying this, but ai tools does not necessarily result in ai generated content (be it good or bad). We got great movies thanks to cgi and computer assisted editing. The invention of digital editing was not only good or only bad. I’m not saying ai tools equals only good things, but just hating on the technological advancements without knowing what it will results in seems kind of senseless to me.
