            Oh the adpcm codec used with a lot of the old POTS. I was thinking you were talking a more like for like. Image to image. Having studied telcom in college in the mid 90s. Yes I know that vox 😀

    • Gif is perfect for showing small animated icons and simple pictures, not complete movies. The problem is more on the user side, expecting too much from a 37 year old standard.
