23 days42 is objectively the best number since it is the answer to life, the universe, and everything.

A customer newsletter I’m sending is so cool it goes out at that time
It will be remembered.

When my kid does 6-7 I do the same gesture saying 8-9. It also means nothing and it’s bigger, so “I win”. Annoys the hell out of them.

22 days“Why was 6 scared of 7? Because 7 8 9.”
(that works better spoken, than in text. … 7 ate 9.)

I go with “Ya, 42 right? I love Hitchhiker’s guide. You are never going to go wrong with a guy Hitchhikers reference with me.”. And then I go for a high-five that never gets returned. This shuts the entire thing down in such an amusing way.

You must’ve seen the same video I did. I do the exact thing with the same result.

I mean well yeah. The other numbers actually have some kind of meaning 67 is just nothing.

My favorite thing is the boomer anger towards 6-7

“Back in my day, our funni numbers mean something, and we wore onions on our belts, as was the fashion of the time”

Witnessing the boomerfication of millennials in real time is a trip.
- 22 days
Nah, still counts. A Boomer is just anybody older than you whom you disagree with.
- 22 days
Even if I try not to be an angry, all-dismissing boomer, I’ll fall into the category of try-hard boomer.
Oh well. I’ll let the kids have their fun and I’ll have mine.

If you are new to being a boomer, just remember that those youngsters will be standing in the same place you are now. It’s inevitable.
Remember: This is about the long game.

If they’re lucky enough to get old. If the planet is still someplace you want to grow old.
I can’t believe I’m old enough to remember decent weather. Enjoy hell on earth, kids

As I said repeatedly, if a store asks for a phone number for a rewards number, use this with the local area code. You will be surprised how often it works.

I usually just say I don’t want to give out my phone number. It usually works but it short circuits the cashier’s brain
When I worked at a place with such a rewards program, the amount of people who put in their number/signed up for rewards was included in our performance metric. It’s so fucked up, because it impacted how many hours we were given. Never mind that if someone only works part time their numbers will naturally be lower than those who work full time, making it a self-perpetuating cycle for those who want to move up to full time.
Anyway, point is - if the cashier cares, it’s because a messed up system is compelling them to. Which is why instead of saying I don’t have an account (which will prompt them to ask me to sign up), I just use Jenny’s number.

True but giving a phone number often gives discounts… Giving a fake number like 867-5309 doesn’t compromise your privacy at all.

Execute Order 66
McDonald’s is always a fun time with my friends if that’s our number. No one else bats an eyelid however.
But Christ when 67 appears

Doubling down instead of being embarrassed we didn’t notice there was a way to do it without needing to turn the calculator upsidedown?
6 times 6 equals 36. Add every number between 1 and 36 and it equals 666.
What does it mean!?
- 22 days
Its true. Between 36 and 1 you have 18 pairs that add to 37. (36 + 1 = 35 +2 …= 37) and 18*37= 666

I was in a (synth|dark)wave party last week and the DJ was doing this build up and just before the drop someone screamed (like really loud) SIX SEVEN!!! and the build up paid with that. Everyone around me was laughing their ass off while dancing. 5/7 would drop 67 again.
