• Considering your last comment before this is one calling the NY Times a center left media I’m gonna say you’ve fallen for plenty.

  • The one I realized was the Hillary Clinton hate.

Like I get it, she’s not an ideal person and there’s lots of reasons why you would want a different politician to be in charge of the country.

But the job was to pick the lesser of two evils and America failed, and that is in no small part due to the massive Hillary hate campaign.

To this day people still get irrationally angry when you mention her. That’s how effective it was. It’s fucking insane.

It was her fucking campaign that is partly to blame for Trump winning. Look up the leaked Pied Piper candidates memo.

They saw Trump as strategically easier to beat so they planned to “elevate” his campaign among others… What that amounted to exactly is anyone’s guess but it’s clear they are partly to blame for him even becoming a popular presidential candidate.

Then they went in like the Clinton dynasty had it in the bag, and she fucking lost. And now we have this huge fucking mess.

Her campaign is a massive symptom of what went wrong with the Democratic party, and when it all went to shit.

      • her campign dint try hard enough to reach more people, harris copied her campaign strategy ver batim.

        • The Harris campaign tried to reach TONS of new people! Like all the democrats who secretly wanted to vote with dick Cheney…

    • Pelosi was the same too, and the gop has done just as much if not worst than she does, notice how gop insider trading is never televised one bit?. they played the mysogyny bit very well against pelosi and hillary.

Her campaign was the beginning of the end for the DNC. They “elevated” the Pied Piper candidates ie Trump then trashed their own Democrats, Bernie. Then they trashed Bernie supporters and told them to fall in line after that bullshit.

It was her campaign that basically marked the end of an era and a huge part of why so many people want Democratic party reform. So much trust was lost after all that. It wasn’t baseless. I don’t hate her, but I do fucking blame her for being a massive part of a shitty campaign that got Trump elected. It’s one thing to lose, it’s another to elevate the worst and most racist candidate you can.

    • I’ve seen my local/regional subreddits froth at the mouth over her. First of all she’s not even in the same country. Second, the comment sections are rarely that rabid over actual local issues.

It leads me to believe those are bots or they fell for the psyop. I think it’s probably close to 50/50.

I think it explained a good number of odd commenting behaviors I’ve seen. Troll farms probably operate across multiple sectors. The Hillary narrative is probably one they’re most familiar with, to a second nature.

Also, I think that’s a keyword that draws trolls like sharks to blood.

    • Not quite. Our job was to vote for whoever we want to vote for. Her job was to be that person by having strong policies and values. When we point this out, people get angry.

      • To be fair Hillary should have served prison time for that, and the precedent should have been carried forward to have Trump serving life.

    • Hillary Clinton needs to shut the fuck up. 2016 is now in the distant past but the Clintons are grossly offensive democrat baggage that make the Democrat party seem out of touch and corrupt.

Hillary Clinton is a loser. She has no good opinions. The fact that her opinions are taken seriously is part of the geriatric stupidity of the Democrat party.

Again: Hillary Clinton failed. She doesn’t know what works because what she did didn’t work. Her opinions are boomer garbage and listening to boomers is how we got here.

Respect for Elders is not a suicide pact. Geriatrics like Hillary think they are part of the solution, but they’re the problem.

      • do you think the US would be a worse place today, if she were elected in 2016?

        • we wouldve avoided trumps 1st term, which set up for 2020 with a bad candidate like biden, he got lucky because of covid.

      • I for one consider Hilary Clinton a perfect candidate and the future of the country. She never wore a tan suit.

  • I think we’ve all been influenced by propaganda to some degree. Some of it is bound to fly under our radar

  • There is one going on in this very thread.

Several people keep referring to the “Democrat” party instead of the “Democratic” party.

Shortening it to Democrat was a Rethuglican tactic that, rhetorically, eliminates the idea the party is linked to the ideal rather than just a label.

  • I’m always tempted to say lines starting with “@grok” when someone says something stupid. It’s in a mocking way, but it doesn’t matter. Using it as the default to make fun of AI in general is still promoting it.

  • “if you don’t know why you think something, somebody does” is a deep thought I had at 12 that still just holds up despite how edgy deep it sounded even when I first had it.

Some people think they’re too smart to fall for propaganda. Those people are the easiest to trick. I’m not accusing you of being a smart person, but recognizing that you can, have, and will fall for propaganda is the only way to make yourself slightly resistant to it. It means you’ll look out for it, while people thinking they’re immune just absorb it all without consideration.

That’s the thing. You wouldn’t be aware of the ones you fall prey to.
